A candidate found using unfair means by invigilators/ flying squad in an examination is served with a notice thereof in the Examination hall itself and, if he/ she refuses to accept or avoids or escapes personal receipt of such notice, such notice is sent to him/ her by registered post within seven days of the incident. The candidate is required to submit his reply to the notice within ten days of the issue of such notice. If no reply is received within this period, it would be presumed that the candidate has nothing to state in his defense. Punishment prescribed as per the ordinances are awarded by the Unfair means committee.
